Born and raised in Santa Barbara County, and a part-time resident in Carmel-by-the-Sea for over 12 years, Kristiann Wightman is familiar with the real estate market in these very different yet similar areas. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Business Management and Marketing in 1991 from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo and spending time studying Spanish language and arts in Madrid, Spain, Kristiann began her real estate career in 1993. Wanting to expand her knowledge and understanding of real estate and contracts law, led her to earn a Juris Doctor degree from Santa Barbara College of Law in 1999. The deep satisfaction of helping clients achieve their dream of owning a home in some of the most beautiful places in the world, motivated Kristiann to start a new boutique style real estate company, Presidio Properties, Inc.
Kristiann is a member of the community she works in, participates in fundraisers and volunteers time for nonprofit causes. She is a Foundation Board Member of St. Vincent's which recently celebrated its 150 years in the Santa Barbara community. St. Vincent's provides single mothers with transitional housing, quality childcare, education and career counseling in a safe, nurturing environment. She is a proud provider of homebuyer benefits through the Coastal Housing Partnership, a nonprofit organization supporting local employers by providing financial assistance programs and education to employees on how to become homeowners in the community. The Coastal Housing Partnership recently honored Kristiann with the Central Coast Star Award for assisting the most clients through their Buyers' Benefits Program.
